O' Children Come

For the first Sunday of Advent, we'll be starting with a song by Kristyn Getty called "O Children Come." Kristyn wrote this song in her kitchen while contemplating the incarnation of Jesus -- how he came to Earth as a baby, how he suffered and lived in poverty -- as well as his invitation to "let the children come to me." The song is featured on Kristyn and Keith Getty's album Facing a Task Unfinished, which focuses on missions and the call of all who follow Christ to share his good news in both word and deed. Ladysmith Black Mambazo bring their distinctive South African style to this version of the song, reminding us that children from every culture and nation share in the invitation of Christ and the promise of his incarnation and his return.
