Sam's Testimony
Sam explained that she was baptized years ago because she believed in Jesus and wanted others to know—but over time she realized you can know a lot about God and still deeply misunderstand His heart. Her view of God, church, and Scripture had become shaped by fear, control, rules, and authority more than by God’s grace and mercy. What once felt safe became heavy and suffocating.
In that painful season of questioning, God never left her. He began untangling her distorted beliefs and led her to Valley Chapel, where she was welcomed, loved, and given space to rest, ask questions, and heal. There she rediscovered God as merciful, gracious, and not controlling or condemning.
Today, she’s reaffirming her baptism—not because the first one didn’t matter, but because God has been faithful through every season and has changed her, deepening her understanding of His grace. This reaffirmation represents healing, new understanding, and a renewed, more authentic relationship with Christ.
