Tina's Story

Tina shared her testimony about her journey of faith and hope amid significant health challenges. She recounted her initial encounter with Jesus at a young age and how her faith deepened during a youth conference where she experienced God's protection in a life-threatening situation. Years later, Tina was diagnosed with a rare and debilitating disease called dermatomyositis, which left her unable to perform basic tasks, affected her ability to swallow, and confined her to hospital care. 

Despite the bleak prognosis of potentially living with a feeding tube for life, Tina's hope in Jesus sustained her through the difficult ordeal. Her faith gave her the strength to endure and the belief that she would recover and reunite with her son, who was only five at the time. Over time, Tina experienced gradual improvements, surprising even the medical staff with her progress.

Throughout her journey, Jesus was a continual source of hope and purpose for her, helping her focus not on the elimination of her struggles but on the greater purpose of her life in raising her son and serving in her church community. Tina now shares her experiences in a support group for people with chronic illnesses, offering them hope and companionship. Her story illustrates how her faith in Jesus transformed her experience of suffering into one of hope, perseverance, and purpose.
